We are looking for a Senior Risk Analyst/Risk Analyst
Finnfund is a Finnish development financier and impact investor. We build a sustainable future and generate lasting impact by investing in businesses that solve global development challenges. We invest 200–250 million euros in 20–30 companies in developing countries each year. Our focus sectors include renewable energy, sustainable forestry, sustainable agriculture, financial institutions, and digital infrastructure and solutions. Today Finnfund’s investments and commitments total about 1.070 billion euros, half of them in Africa. The company has 90 employees.
We are now looking for a
Senior Risk Analyst/Risk Analyst (Finance and Risk Management)
for a full-time, permanent position in Helsinki.
What you will be doing
As a Senior Risk Analyst (Finance and Risk Management), you will be responsible for conducting and analysing Finnfund’s risk ratings, risk position, and portfolio risks. You will also be responsible for Corporate Governance instructions and collaboration with the development finance institution community. You may participate in the investment and portfolio management committees as an observer or secretary.
This position also includes external collaboration with various stakeholders such as Finnish authorities, OECD, and the association of European development finance institutions EDFI.
Who we are looking for
An ideal candidate has a passion for the identification of risks and analysing those. A successful candidate for this position is efficient, comfortable with working in a changing environment, capable of creating consistency and developing our risk monitoring systems and reporting. You have experience in risk monitoring and collaboration with different stakeholders.
The role requires experience in analysing the financial figures of investee companies, very advanced communication skills, and the willingness and capability to collaborate with external and internal stakeholders. Team player mentality and readiness for flexibility are essential.
Experience from a similar position in a financial institution or a bank is considered an asset. We are looking for a committed employee who wants to do meaningful work.
Fluent English and Finnish are necessary to be successful in this position.
