We are looking for a KYC Officer

Finnfund is a Finnish development financier and impact investor. We build a sustainable future and generate lasting impact by investing in businesses that solve global development challenges. We invest 200–250 million euros in 20–30 companies in developing countries each year. Our focus sectors include renewable energy, sustainable forestry, sustainable agriculture, financial institutions, and digital infrastructure and solutions. Today Finnfund’s investments and commitments total about 1.070 billion euros, half of them in Africa. The company has 90 employees.

We are now looking for a

KYC Officer

for a full-time, permanent position in Helsinki.

What you will be doing

As a KYC Officer, you will be responsible for conducting Know Your Customer (KYC) work as well as other compliance work.

The key areas of responsibility include:

  • handling the KYC work related to new projects, as well as handling and corresponding Finnfund’s KYC information
  • monitoring, updating, and handling KYC information regarding existing projects
  • other related compliance work

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a person who has relevant experience and a strong interest in KYC work and related anti-money laundering issues. An ideal candidate should have a relevant educational background, such as Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and a minimum of 3 years of applicable professional experience. Earlier work experience in a similar field is considered a merit.

We require a good knowledge of basic matters of market practise regarding the field as well as a good command of the Finnish and English languages. Other language skills, such as French and Spanish, are considered an asset as they are spoken in many of our target countries.

An ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to take responsibility and full ownership of their work. We are looking for someone who is a team player but is also able to work independently and capable of managing multiple projects at once. In today’s hybrid working environment, excellent ICT skills are required. We are looking for a committed employee who wants to do meaningful work in the field of impact investing.
