Finnfund and NIB have signed a long-term loan agreement of USD 40 million. The loan will be used for funding environmental projects such as renewable energy.
Finnish Fund for Industrial Cooperation Ltd. (FINNFUND) and Nordic Investment Bank (NIB)
have on 24 November signed a long-term loan agreement of USD 40 million.
The loan will be used for funding environmental projects, such as renewable energy (e.g. hydro and wind power), environmental technology and protection of the environment (e.g. waste water treatment plants).
“This is the largest single funding transaction by Finnfund so far. In addition, the loan is important to Finnfund because it secures the funding of renewable and emission free power production projects which are of strategic importance to us and our way to combat climate change”, says Mr Jyrki Halttunen, Treasurer of Finnfund.
