Tapio Wallenius appointed Director, Administration and Development

Mr. Tapio Wallenius is Finnfund’s new Director responsible for Administration and Development. He has many years' experience in administrative and development cooperation tasks in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and as a consultant.
Mr Tapio Wallenius has been appointed Director, Administration and Development as of 2 May.
This new task includes personnel and financial administration, information management and development of Finnfund’s general administration. Besides these administrative duties he will also maintain and develop cooperation with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and follow the development policy discussion. Tapio Wallenius is also a member of Finnfund’s management team.
In 1995-2000 he held various posts in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. After that he was working as a consultant. During Finland’s latest EU presidency Mr. Wallenius acted as the director of the International Environmental Policy in the Ministry. Most of his earlier tasks, in the Ministry and later as a consultant, have concerned the development cooperation issues and related administrative questions. As a consultant he has also carried out assignments in administration and management for various Finnish and international clients.
