Detection Technology received an award for internationalization

The President of the Republic of Finland awarded Detection Technology for its achievements in creating employment and wellbeing in its operational area. The company produces ultra-sensitive sensors in Finland and China.

ou’ll come across the products of Detection Technology Oy wherever the world’s most advanced radioscopic equipment is in use.
The ultra-sensitive sensors manufactured by this Finnish company are at the core of the security inspection devices used at airports and border crossings. In hospitals, its sensors can be found in tomography equipment used for scanning cross sections of the body.
Inspection equipment is also expanding into new fields, such as food processing, where an X-ray machine can find, for example, a piece of glass or metal in a packaged food.
Detection Technology employs people in Finland, China and USA
On February 6, 2007, the President of the Republic Ms. Tarja Halonen awarded the Internationalization Award of the President of the Republic to Detection Technology.
The company has research, development and production units in Finland, mass production in China and a marketing unit in the USA. Detection Technology employs 154 people in all. Finnfund has financed the Chinese production unit.
