Introducing new personnel at Finnfund

Finnfund welcomes three new staff members: Ms Siv Ahlberg, Ms Riikka Talvitie and Ms Hanna-Riitta Kurittu. They will all start working at Finnfund in Spring 2006.
Siv Ahlberg, M.Sc. (Econ.), has been appointed Senior Investment Manager as of 1 March 2006. Previously she worked as the Manager for Credit Administration and Corporate Affairs in the Nordic Development Fund (NDF). She has also long experience in project financing especially in Africa. In Finnfund she is responsible for preparation and follow-up of investment projects especially in Africa as well as cofinancing with other development finance institutions.
Riikka Talvitie, Master of Laws, has been appointed Legal Counsel as of 1 April 2006. For the last four years she has been working as a legal counsel in Emerging Power Partners Ltd (EPP), which is a specialized fund manager targeting new opportunities in the energy sector. Finnfund is a shareholder in the EPP's Private Energy Market Fund (PEMF). In Finnfund Ms Talvitie will continue working among others with matters related to PEMF.
Hanna-Riitta Kurittu BBA, Stud. Soc.Sc., has been appointed Programme Assistant of the new Finnish business partnership programme, Finnpartnership, as of 1 April 2006. Finnpartnership offers advisory services and assistance to Finnish companies in exploring new business opportunities and finding partners in developing countries.
