Pekka Juusela transfers from Kuala Lumpur to Helsinki

The Director of Finnfund’s regional office in Southeast Asia, Pekka Juusela, is transferring from Kuala Lumpur to Helsinki as of 2 March 2005. Pekka Juusela will be continuing as a Senior Investment Manager, still concentrating on projects based in Southeast Asia.

theast Asia, Pekka Juusela, is transferring from Kuala Lumpur to Helsinki. Finnfund established a regional office in Malaysia fourteen years ago, at a time when Finnish companies were enthusiastic about the vigorous growth in Southeast Asia. When the region was hit by a severe economic crisis at the end of the 1990s, and as China’s economic development started surpassing all expectations, most Finnish commercial interest turned to China, which became the main target country for Finnfund, too.
Future project development for Southeast Asia will be handled from Helsinki. Pekka Juusela will be continuing as a Senior Investment Manager, still concentrating on projects based in Southeast Asia. Other Finnfund financial managers will also develop projects in the region, in line with their own fields of specialisation and customer accounts, drawing on Pekka Juusela’s regional expertise.
