Paroc’s Lithuanian production unit celebrate ten years of successful operations

UAB Paroc in Lithuania celebrated its ten-year anniversary on 6 June 2003.
UAB Paroc in Lithuania celebrated its ten-year anniversary on 6 June 2003. Marketing and sales unit in Lithuania was founded in 1993 and the first stone wool production line was taken into use in 1996. Finnfund was one of the financiers of the Lithuanian unit together with EBRD and Nefco.
During the first year of operation, the Vilnius factory produced and marketed insulation materials worth almost 20 million litas (USD 5 million). Nowadays UAB Paroc’s annual turnover in Lithuania exceeds 54 million litas (USD 18 million).
Today UAB Paroc is a well-established company and a market leader in Lithuania. Its production capacity is in full use and it produces 24 000 tons of stone wool mainly for Lithuanian market. The company also exports stone wool to other Baltic countries and to Russia and Belorussia.
The significance of the Lithuanian operations is recognized also by the Paroc's Board, as the funds for a new production line in Vilnius has been approved.
