Senior investment manager Kalevi Hiltunen retires on a pension on the 1st of September.
Senior investment manager Kalevi Hiltunen retires on a pension on the 1st of September. He has been working in Finnfund’s investment operations team since 1987. Prior to that he was management consultant at Jaakko Pöyry.
Mr. Hiltunen has been in charge of resource-based industry projects, particularly in the forest industry, but he has also worked on other sectors. He has been our long-standing country expert on China, too.
Mr. Hiltunen has also played a key role in formulating Finnfund’s environmental policy.
Over the years Mr. Hiltunen has participated in the evaluation of some 180 projects. One-third of these projects have been in China.
The responsibilities of Mr. Hiltunen will be divided amongst the other investment managers of the team.
